Unlock the potential of your 2006–2007 Subaru WRX with an LRW staged calibration utilizing EcuFlash open-source tuning software. Each calibration is tailored to your vehicle's specific modifications and fuel type, with adjustments to fueling, ignition timing, boost control, and overall engine performance.

Whether you're improving your stock WRX, installing full bolt-ons, or upgrading to a larger turbocharger, our staged calibrations focus on responsive power delivery, consistent drivability, and dependable performance.

All remote calibrations require a compatible Tactrix OpenPort interface, EcuFlash software, and a supported datalogging solution.

Two tuning revisions are included with each stage.

Stage 1 – Stock Turbo / Stock Hardware

Mod Requirements:

  • Factory EJ255 2.5L turbocharged engine.
  • Factory TD04 turbocharger.
  • Factory intake and fuel system.
  • Cat-back exhaust is acceptable.
  • 91 or 93 octane fuel.

Designed for otherwise stock WRXs looking to improve throttle response, boost delivery, and overall engine performance without extensive hardware modifications.

Stage 2 – Full Bolt-On Calibration

Mod Requirements:

  • Factory TD04 turbocharger.
  • Performance intake (manufacturer and model must be specified).
  • Upgraded exhaust system.
  • Upgraded intercooler recommended.
  • Compatible 3-port electronic boost control solenoid is acceptable.
  • Fuel system upgrades as required by the combination.
  • 91 or 93 octane fuel.

Stage 2 is intended for full bolt-on WRXs retaining the factory turbocharger. Calibration adjustments are made to accommodate increased airflow, revised boost control, and the vehicle's specific modifications.

Customers must provide their exact intake, MAF housing, and boost control solenoid configurations before tuning begins.

Stage 3 – Upgraded Turbo Calibration

Mod Requirements:

  • Compatible upgraded turbocharger, including 18G, 20G, or supported STI VF-series turbochargers.
  • Performance intake.
  • Upgraded exhaust system.
  • Upgraded intercooler.
  • Fuel injectors appropriately sized for the turbocharger and intended power output.
  • Fuel pump capable of maintaining the required fuel delivery.
  • Compatible electronic boost control system.
  • 91 or 93 octane fuel.

Stage 3 is intended for WRXs equipped with upgraded turbochargers and the supporting modifications necessary for increased airflow and boost pressure.

Fuel Injector Requirements:

Factory injectors may be retained for certain mild STI VF-series turbo configurations, provided the fuel system is capable of supporting the requested calibration.

Larger 18G and 20G turbocharger applications may require upgraded injectors and additional fuel system modifications.

Customers must provide injector manufacturer, part number, flow specifications, and applicable calibration data for aftermarket injectors.

Unverified or no-name fuel injectors are not supported.

Required Information Before Tuning

Customers must provide:

  • Year, make, and model.
  • Complete modification list.
  • Turbocharger manufacturer and model.
  • Fuel type and octane rating.
  • Fuel injector manufacturer, model, and specifications.
  • Fuel pump specifications.
  • Intake and MAF housing specifications.
  • Boost control solenoid configuration.
  • Current ECU ROM file.

Any nonstandard MAF or MAP sensor configuration must be disclosed before purchase. Manufacturer calibration data may be required.

Remote Tuning Requirements

Remote tuning requires a compatible Tactrix OpenPort interface, EcuFlash software, and the ability to read, write, and datalog the vehicle's ECU.

Customers must submit their original ECU ROM file and order number to Michael.Leto@lrwtuned.com after purchase.

Two calibration revisions are included with each stage. Additional revisions, hardware changes, or diagnostic work may incur additional charges.

Important: These calibrations are developed for the specified hardware combination. Vehicles must be mechanically sound and free of boost leaks, fueling issues, misfires, and existing mechanical problems before tuning begins.

Additional configurations, alternative fuels, extensively modified engines, or turbocharger applications outside the supported stages may require a separate custom tuning service.

Please review our Pre-Tune Checklist before beginning your tuning session.
